Seahorse

Seahorse

Seahorses are fish. However, they are doing not appear as if fish. they need a horse-like snout and an upright body covered with bony armor. Seahorses can be 1.5 to thirty five centimeters (about .6 to thirteen inches) long.

Male Mothers

Male seahorses give birth to young ones instead of females.
they need a brood pouch on their belly wherever the females lay eggs. The male carries the eggs until they hatch.

Snout and Tail

Seahorses have a unique snout and tail. As being and small shelled animals pass by, they get sucked in by the seahorses.
The prehensile tails of seahorses attach them to the corals and sea grasses.

Seahorse Fin

Seahorses have a small fin on their back. It helps them to propel themselves in water. This fin flutters about thirty five times in a second. Smalls fins on the back of their head also help them to push through the water.

Pygmy Seahorse

Pygmy Seahorses are just 1.5 centimeters (.6 inches) in length. they have a short snout and bulb-like tubercles on their body. Pygmy seahorses belong to the coral reefs of the western Pacific, including Australia.. they're camouflaged in the corals by their purple or yellow color.
